Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver the revenue and balance sheet targets assigned.
  2. Identify target customers/ customer segments within each catchment area.
  3. Rapidly grow customer base and business.
  4. Manage the profitability of product portfolios and customers.
  5. Improve profitability through increased fee income generation.
  6. Manage the overall credit quality of the asset book within acceptable limits.
  7. Manage the costs of running the business.
  8. Provide hands-on relationship management to ensure effective and timely delivery of the bank’s services/ products to the customers of the overall division.
  9. Review the overall portfolio in a timely manner and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank’s credit policy to maximize earnings while containing risks to an acceptable level.
  10. Obtain audited financial statements, analyze and recommend credit proposals of potential borrowers to the approving authority to meet financial objectives.
  11. Implement and maintain complete control aspects i.e., documentation, periodical customer visits / call reports, expires on monthly manner in order to monitor the assigned portfolio effectively.
  12. Follow-up and monitor assigned relationships to ensure satisfactory account conduct and early ratification of various credit related issues.
  13. Undergo an annual review process on the assigned portfolio to maintain strict credit discipline.
  14. Develop strong working relationships with all existing clients at key levels, to optimize utilization of the current portfolio.
  15. Identify the segment target market to broad – base the portfolio and pursue growth opportunities towards on boarding of the new clients.
  16. Ensure high performance culture and delivery of professional and quality of customer service.
  17. Continuously monitor customer satisfaction and take measures and initiatives to improve.
  18. Regularly review customer complaints, approaching complainant personally where required ensuring prompt resolution.
  19. Maintain all statutory and controls for the business processes.
  20. Track competitive activities and regularly report to senior management.
  21. Build and maintain effective communication with relevant teams and units to ensure free flow of information, ideas and feedback.
  22. Weekly follow up on exception report with regard to returned cheques and call for explanation from customer where necessary.
  23. Weekly follow up on deficiency reports.
  24. Timely & accurate submission of regular & adhoc management reports.
  25. Time management & prioritizing job processes/tasks.
  26. Ensuring all portfolio monitoring/management processes & measures are undertaken regularly and on an on-going basis and all credit files are properly maintained with a view to achieving good audit rating.
  27. Thorough market knowledge & knowledge of bank’s products & services.
  28. Handling multiple customers/tasks efficiently while maintaining high level of accuracy at all times.
  29. Undertaking additional tasks/responsibilities assigned by Reporting Manager.
  30. Timely and close follow up to minimize the delinquency rate.

 

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Finance/ Accounting/ Economics/ Marketing or equivalent.
  • 5-6 years experience in banking, with at least 2 years in managing medium-large commercial portfolio at senior levels in well established and recognized financial institutions.
