Job Description:

Job Purpose:
To contribute to Bank’s income through marketing and selling bank products and services to existing and prospective clients and carry out effective processing and recovery of credit facilities.


1. Business development
        i.  Develop and realize new business relationships.
       ii.  Identify and provide appropriate financial solutions to clients which lead to maximum retention rates, growth and profitability.
      iii.  Set up target names for prospect clients. in consistent with the marketing strategy in terms of size and industrial diversification;
       iv.  Meet or exceed assigned goals and budgets.
        v.  Assist in the direction of all sales activities and initiatives.
       vi.  Retain and expand an assigned portfolio, growing and maintaining revenue, providing personalized service and effectively cross selling.

2. Control Activities
        i.  Manage the client portfolio to ensure that the requirements of the clients are met, to provide top quality service.
       ii.  Assist the manager In monitoring the business activities of area under supervision and report performance in figures: on a regular basis, i.e. actual vs. budget.
      iii.  Monitors the quality of assigned portfolio on an on-going basis;
       iv.  Communicate and implement any changes to policies or procedures.
        v.  Proactively co-ordinate the client’s relationship internally by means of co-operating with other business unb.
       vi.  Work closely with the Manager to ensure the cross-selling products are implemented and successful.
      vii.  Effective management of accounts under portf050 and monitor availments.
     viii.  Follow up on credit facility recovery, monitor and regularize issues related to irregularity or defaults as soon as possible.

3. Marketing Activities
        i.  Meet clients to discuss financial requirements and provide professional advice relating to the range of available banking products and services, documented through visit/call reports.

4. Customer Relationship Management
        i.  Ensure quality and effective response to clients' queries and problems.
       ii.  Develop and maintain solid client relationships and retain existing relationships.
      iii.  Maintain client contact for obtaining credit related information and ongoing monitoring of credit.
       iv.  Assist Clients in making informed decisions about their financial needs.
 
5. Credit Facilities Processing
        i. Assess financial statements and structure credit facilities based on risk analysis through preparation or review of credit applications to be presented to approving authorities.
       ii. Ensure accurate and complete pre-fact requirements documented in line With bank's credit policy.
 
6. Documentation and approval
        i. Prepare; review all documentation relating to approved credit facilities as per approved terms and conditions and in line with credit polley. Ensure timely receipt of documentation from clients to allow smooth and fast processing (Post Facts).

7. Team Building
        i. Trains and coaches team members especially those who are at junior levels; and ensure that they exceed clients' expectations. Assist the Manager in motivating every team member to promote and maximize productivity. Contribute to developing team-spirit among peers, supervisors, and subordinates.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

i.    Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting. Business. ex Finance.
ii.   7-8 years proven credit analysis experience ex equivalent of which 3 years of demonstrated success in sales and/or financial services industry;
iii.  Formal credit training by national ex large regional bank.
iv.   Positive, goal oriented, poised, tactful, independent, self-starter, detail oriented with common sense.
v.    Proven financial, mathematical and communication skills.
vi.   Ability to negotiate and converse with clients. Finance, Sales, etc.
vii.  Sound knowledge of the business and products supported and pertinent regulations impacting their delivery, including those related to documentation requirements.
viii. Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent main frame systems and software packages.
ix.   Complete understanding of Consumer Lending. Financial Services including Underwriting, qualifications, customer requirements, deal structuring and credit/ funding processes.

Manage a portfolio of accounts with diversified business activities.

i.    Interrelationships with Treasury, Retail Banking, Trade Finance and the Local Banking1 Business Community.
ii.   Job holder may be required to assist the manager with special projects.
