• 10-15 years of experience in building, and executing data governance strategies for financial services firm.  Knowledge of banking products and processes and how they interact with each other is a solid plus.
• Project and program management experience in enterprise data warehouse solutions. Project management certifications like PMP, and six-sigma black belt preferable but not pre-requisite.
• Ability to work with and influence internal and external clients, partners, and providers.
• Ability to communicate up and down the chain of command, provide thought leadership to develop solution architecture and achieve consensus on the same with senior IT and business management.
• Functional experience in a data-driven function like finance, risk, compliance would be considered preferable in addition to purely IT experience. Familiarity with typical business needs in these areas would help the position to start adding value from day one.
• Highly proficient in logical and physical data model design and development. Highly proficient in database management technology and the design considerations and tradeoffs involved in transactional VS analytical systems.
• At least 10 years of experience managing teams of developers and project managers (15+ people).
• Management of technology budget of significant size.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / information sciences.
