Position Overview
|
Managing a small team of tax professionals in tax compliance and advisory assignments for clients, working in a team, assisting in execution of designated tax work, supporting senior team members, whilst helping to guide the Assistant Advisors.
|

Main Responsibilities
|
Tax
- Assisting in producing accurate work to a high technical standard.
- Assisting in drafting technically correct tax opinions and reports for review.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax and zakat returns.
- Assisting with tax due diligences, tax computations and rendering of tax advice.
- Interpret and apply theoretical knowledge to a practical business solution by utilizing a sound knowledge of basic income tax and corporate law.
- Prioritizing the workload and meeting required deadlines.
- Gather information from different sources by using effective research tools.
- Assist with the research and preparation of proposals, presentations and seminars.
- Assist with file management.
- Assist with complying with relevant risk management procedures.
- Assist clients with responding to queries raised by the Department of Zakat and Income Tax (“DZIT”) and liaise with the DZIT with a view of expediting assessments and resolving disputes.
- Identify problems and use various tools and techniques to provide suggestions on how to solve them.
- Build credibility with colleagues and clients by using effective communication skills.
- Contribute effectively to the discussions around work and actively participate in generating creative ideas and thoughts.
- Adapt to a changing work environment and accommodate changing client demands.
- Facilitate teamwork by sharing knowledge with others on a regular basis and actively asking questions in order to achieve personal and work goals.
Supervision
- Providing leadership and direction to designated team.
- Mentoring and guiding junior employees.
- Providing feedback on performance of audit team to senior management.
- Facilitating the achievement of objectives for team.

Experience Required
|
- Graduate with a GPA of 2.5 / 4 or above, preferably in an Accounting or Law related degree.
- 5 Years relevant work experience in Tax.
- Qualified Tax Accountant
